Katherine Sopranos is an accomplished public relations and corporate communications manager. In her current position with a major U.S. firm, she manages internal corporate communications. Katherine Sopranos’ responsibilities encompass a number of online venues, including an employee magazine and an intranet news site. She also provides strategic assistance with earnings presentations, meetings, and speeches.
Ms. Sopranos’ current position draws on six years of experience with Boeing in Chicago, where she served as a Communications Specialist. In this role, Sopranos managed internal communications and assisted with public relations for a number of initiatives, including global corporate citizenship, lean manufacturing, and Boeing International. She also participated as a media relations team member in launching the 787 Dreamliner program. Katherine Sopranos’ internal communications responsibilities included managing global corporate activities reports, editing internal newsletters and magazines, and providing strategic communications advice to company executives.
Ms. Sopranos earned her B.A. in French and Liberal Arts at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington. She subsequently held positions as a Development Office Assistant and Media Relations Assistant with DePaul University in Chicago. Sopranos completed a Master’s degree in Writing at DePaul University in 1996 and held a variety of corporate communications positions with the Tribune Company over the next four years. From 1996 to 2001, she also pursued freelance writing and editing opportunities with the Chicago Tribune, publishing over 200 articles and authoring a weekly column.
